Job Title: Data Engineer - ADF and ADB
Job Description: **Job title:** Data Engineer – ADF & ADB **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines and data marts on Azure, leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks (ADB). Ensure high‑performance, secure, and scalable ingestion, transformation, and storage of large volumes of structured data for business analytics. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes. - Connect and integrate multiple cloud data services (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks). - Optimize and secure large relational data warehouses. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical solutions clearly. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and manage ADF pipelines and Databricks notebooks for data ingestion and transformation. - Develop scalable data marts and data lake solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics. - Write and optimize T‑SQL and PySpark code for data transformation. - Implement data quality checks, error handling, and monitoring dashboards. - Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, backup, and archiving for large SQL databases. - Manage database security, user roles, and access controls. - Troubleshoot data issues, resolve ETL failures, and conduct root‑cause analysis. - Document data architecture, process flows, and operational procedures. - Stay current with Azure data platform advancements and recommend infrastructure enhancements. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of experience building data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks. - Strong proficiency in T‑SQL and PySpark (Python). - Deep knowledge of relational database design, performance tuning, and data warehousing. - Experience integrating ADLS, ADF, Synapse, and Databricks at scale. - Solid troubleshooting and debugging of ETL and database issues. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) are preferred. ---
