Job Description
Job Title: Data Operations Specialist Role Summary: Bridge provider between Portfolio Operations and IT, responsible for ingestion, transformation, validation, and monitoring of large financial data sets, ensuring data quality, identifying and resolving pipeline exceptions, and improving system performance. Expactations: • 2+ years market data experience in a financial institution. • Advanced SQL programming for data analysis, quality checks, and root‑cause investigation. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and clear documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Review security and market data to identify, resolve, and prevent data exceptions. - Monitor daily file ingestion, troubleshoot missing or delayed data, and ensure timely report generation. - Validate accuracy of data movement across internal infrastructure. - Investigate data issues, determine root causes, and collaborate with IT developers on resolutions. - Maintain documentation for recurring operational processes and recommend process improvements. - Analyze workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability. - Gather business requirements and document data needs for system enhancements and updates.
