Job title: Project Manager – Technical Floor
Role Summary
Lead the end‑to‑end relocation of technical floors, including ground production, mezzanine, repair, and simulator labs, ensuring minimal business disruption and on‑time, on‑budget delivery. Responsibilities encompass planning, stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, budget control, and post‑move support.
Expectations
• Deliver project outcomes per schedule, scope, and financial limits.
• Maintain clear communication with senior management and all stakeholders.
• Act as single point of contact during the move, including 5 pm after‑hours coverage.
• Provide detailed documentation, lessons‑learned reports, and post‑relocation testing.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive relocation plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Project Planners, Lab Support, Test personnel), contractors (labeling, dismantling, moving, logistics) and external partners (e.g., Hitachi).
• Monitor budget, track expenditures, and ensure financial compliance.
• Identify and mitigate risks, create contingency plans, and address issues promptly.
• Communicate progress, milestones, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee equipment inventory, move scheduling, and infrastructure readiness for remote access.
• Conduct post‑move troubleshooting, testing, and verify system operability.
• Compile post‑move review and report, highlighting lessons learned and improvement actions.
Required Skills
• Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent preferred).
• Proven experience leading office/infrastructure relocations or migration projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and resource allocation skills.
• Stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination.
• Budget monitoring and cost control.
• Risk assessment and contingency planning.
• Technical understanding of IT infrastructure and electrical/electronic racks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and decision‑making.
• Ability to work after hours and manage on‑call responsibilities.
Required Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, specifically in office relocation or infrastructure migration.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
