Job Description
**Job title** Junior Commercial Manager – Advertising Services **Role Summary** A commercially‑focused analyst responsible for managing client revenue, forecasting, and profitability within an advertising agency. Works under the Commercial Manager, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure projects are correctly scoped, billed, and delivered within financial targets. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, timely revenue forecasts and variance analysis for assigned clients. - Maintain oversight of billing, WIP, and contract compliance to meet monthly financial deadlines. - Provide actionable insights to improve resource utilisation and departmental profitability. - Support month‑end reporting, external audits, and continuous process improvement. **Key Responsibilities** - Forecast revenue, pipeline, and organic targets; communicate changes and risks. - Reconcile end‑of‑month revenue and ensure correct revenue recognition. - Prepare departmental profitability reports and recommend improvement actions. - Review resource plans, staffing variances, and utilisation reports; advise on adjustments. - Maintain client dashboards, escalating issues to account leaders. - Ensure contract adherence, timely billing, and WIP management. - Draft fee proposals, contract reviews, and support Sarbanes‑Oxley testing. - Drive process improvements and maintain up‑to‑date timesheet data in the finance system. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and forecasting abilities. - Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time‑management. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros). - Effective written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement. - Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX or Cognos is advantageous. **Required Education & Certifications** - ACCA or CIMA part‑qualified (preferred). - Commercial analysis experience in an agency or media environment (advantage). ---
