Job Description
**Job Title** Software Development Engineer **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native e‑Commerce components and services for satellite‑based Internet provisioning. Collaborate across satellite, networks, and security teams to deliver scalable, high‑reliability software on AWS. **Expectations** - Deliver production‑ready code and pipelines within tight timelines. - Apply best practices in architecture, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring. - Work effectively in cross‑functional teams and contribute to system design reviews. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement communications components, applications, and services. - Develop and maintain Java‑based SDKs and REST/GraphQL APIs. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. - Create dashboards and monitoring solutions for system health. - Collaborate with engineers to gather requirements and prototype solutions for ISP provisioning. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and source control best practices. - Participate in architectural discussions and design pattern selection. **Required Skills** - 4+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship). - 3+ years of system design/architecture experience (patterns, reliability, scaling). - Proficiency in Java (MVC frameworks) and JSON. - Hands‑on experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) and related tooling. - API design: RESTful services, API Gateway, and optionally GraphQL. - CI/CD pipeline development (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline). - Automated testing and monitoring skills. - Familiarity with financial/accounting system integration (Oracle) is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years of related experience. - Certifications in AWS (preferably Associate level) are desirable but not mandatory.
