Job Description
**Job Title:** Technology Risk Consultant **Role Summary:** A senior professional responsible for overseeing technology risk throughout the full technology lifecycle within a major financial services organization. Works closely with senior leaders and the three lines of defense to ensure system resilience, data security, and alignment of technology initiatives with operational risk expectations. **Expactations:** - Deliver independent oversight and challenge to first‑line technology teams. - Influence design, build and implementation of new systems to embed risk controls. - Maintain effective communication with senior stakeholders, providing clear risk insights and recommendations. - Ensure compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and governance processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide risk oversight across the technology lifecycle (design, development, implementation, operation). - Assess and challenge first‑line management of system resilience, data security, and critical platform maintenance. - Advise and influence senior leaders on identification, control, escalation, and mitigation of technology risks. - Evaluate business unit compliance with ERMF policies, controls, and scenario analysis. - Collaborate with 3LoD partners to simplify, standardise, and strengthen technology risk practices. - Support and critique the organization’s technology strategy to ensure alignment with operational risk requirements. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in technology risk management, preferably in financial services. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles. - Technical knowledge of cloud environments, batch processing/PEGA, networking, capacity management, and SAP banking systems. - Ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior business and technology stakeholders. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and written/oral communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. - Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.
