Lead Product Manager – O&O and Programmatic
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end product management for Cox Media’s local advertising portfolio, driving revenue growth, enhancing existing offerings, launching new products, and optimizing performance across owned‑and‑operated (O&O) and programmatic inventory.
**Expectations**
- Deliver measurable business results and maintain a disciplined operating plan/budget.
- Accelerate product development in an agile environment.
- Foster cross‑functional collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, finance, and external vendor partners.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of digital video advertising, programmatic, addressable TV, and industry platforms.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Partner with Sales to devise and implement strategies that increase product usage and revenue.
2. Collaborate with local markets and marketing COE to launch/augment products, create training and collateral, and capture customer feedback.
3. Coordinate with Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) and Operations to establish fulfillment and billing processes.
4. Work with Business Enablement to capture internal stakeholder requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
5. Manage the product budget, track expenses, and process vendor payments with Finance.
6. Define product requirements, drive development in a Scrum/Kanban environment, and lead releases.
7. Build business cases and roadmap priorities, assessing ROI and impact on business outcomes.
8. Evaluate programmatic inventory sources, negotiate supply partner agreements, and expand OTT/CTV offerings.
9. Maintain vendor relationships, ensuring accountability, service levels, and performance metrics.
10. Provide product and strategy expertise to field sales, national reps, and partner sales channels.
**Required Skills**
- 6+ years of B2B product/brand management or media/advertising sales with digital media focus (or equivalent).
- Deep understanding of digital video advertising, including Freewheel, Audience Manager, and video DSPs.
- Knowledge of Addressable TV, programmatic, partner inventory management, and DSP integration.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation.
- Agile product development experience (Scrum/Kanban).
- Analytical and data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience (alternatives: master’s with ≥4 years experience, PhD/Doctorate with ≥1 year experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
