Job title: AWS DevOps Architect
Role Summary: Lead architecture and engineering of large‑scale, highly available cloud platforms on AWS, integrating CI/CD, container orchestration, observability, security, and FinOps best practices. Deliver end‑to‑end solutions encompassing infrastructure-as-code, MLOps, and semantic data platforms to meet stringent regulatory and performance requirements.
Expectations: • 15+ years in cloud/platform engineering, with 5+ years in senior architecture roles
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure, and resilient AWS environments for regulated industries (finance, healthcare, media)
• Deep ownership of cost efficiency, disaster recovery, security, and compliance across the stack.
Key Responsibilities: • Architect and implement end‑to‑end infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, ECS, and GitLab/CircleCI pipelines.
• Design and maintain observability (CloudWatch, distributed tracing), networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect), and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) solutions.
• Lead MLOps initiatives with SageMaker, Bedrock, and LangGraph orchestration for LLM workloads.
• Build and manage semantic data platforms on OpenSearch, including indexing, search, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Ensure DR, resiliency, and security through policy‑as‑code (OPA, Sentinel), SBOM compliance, and secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
• Guide FinOps practices, cost monitoring, and resource optimization across the organization.
Required Skills: • AWS (global services, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
• Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, ECS, GitLab/CircleCI, Python, Bash, Ansible
• Observability tools (CloudWatch, distributed tracing)
• MLOps with SageMaker, Bedrock, LangGraph; LLM orchestration
• Semantic search and vector databases (OpenSearch)
• Policy‑as‑code tools (OPA, Sentinel); SBOM/compliance tooling
• Service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and API gateway architecture
• Secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager)
• Security, DR, resiliency, and FinOps in regulated sectors
Required Education & Certifications: • Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
• Additional certifications in AI/ML, security, or compliance are a plus.
