**Job Title**: Cloud Security Engineer
**Role Summary**:
Design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure across public, private, and hybrid environments. Provide security guidance to application and infrastructure teams, conduct threat assessments, and lead incident response activities to protect enterprise data and systems.
**Expectations**:
- Architect and maintain enterprise‑grade cloud security processes in collaboration with system engineers and architects.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, resiliency, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001/2, NIST, ITIL).
- Lead security configuration, monitoring, and remediation efforts for multi‑location operations, particularly in retail or healthcare settings.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enforce policy‑based controls.
- Manage security tools: email gateways, EDR, firewalls, IAM, SIEM, CSPM/CNAPP, vulnerability management, observability.
- Design and maintain network security: VPN, IPsec, SSL/TLS, LDAP, PKI.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify findings, and coordinate remediation.
- Serve as security consultant during project planning and implementation meetings.
- Monitor emerging threats, analyze threat intelligence, and recommend defensive measures.
- Participate in incident response: investigation, documentation, reporting, and communication with SOC teams.
- Document security policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills**:
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 3+ years in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Windows security, logging, audit, and Linux support.
- Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, CSPM, CNAPP, and vulnerability management platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, encryption (SSL/TLS, IPsec), VPN, LDAP, PKI.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, SOX) and standards (ISO 27001/2, NIST, ITIL).
- Ability to analyze threat intelligence and apply security best practices.
- Excellent communication, integrity, and ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSK, or equivalent security certification preferred.
