Job Title: GCP Cloud Architect Role Summary: Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise‑wide cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, driving architecture design, governance, FinOps, and secure, scalable cloud adoption for health‑insurance operations. Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain enterprise GCP architecture standards, reusable patterns, and reference architecture. - Partner with engineering, security, and data teams to design cloud‑enabled applications using GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL/Spanner, VPC, etc. - Design landing zone architecture: network segmentation, IAM, security controls, tagging, lifecycle policies. - Provide guidance on service selection, solution trade‑offs, best practices, and performance considerations. - Lead governance activities: architecture reviews, policy enforcement, configuration baselines, and compliance alignment (HIPAA/HITRUST). - Drive FinOps: monitor spend, analyze cost drivers, establish cost allocation, recommend optimization. - Support cloud roadmap, modernization initiatives, and migration of legacy workloads to GCP. - Evaluate emerging GCP services and facilitate adoption with vendors and stakeholders. Required Skills: - 5–7+ years in cloud architecture or senior engineering roles with deep GCP experience. - Proficiency with compute, networking, storage, and data services (GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, VPC). - Strong governance, IAM, landing zone, and security hardening expertise. - Practical FinOps knowledge: cost visibility, budgeting, right‑sizing, commitment planning. - Familiarity with modern architecture patterns: APIs, microservices, containers, event‑driven. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills; ability to influence without authority. - Knowledge of healthcare or health‑insurance domain is a plus.
