Job Description
**Job Title**: Privacy & Data Protection Manager **Role Summary**: Senior privacy expert to lead data protection compliance, strategy, and governance for a multinational automotive technology company. Focus on project execution, stakeholder advice, risk management, and ensuring adherence to global data laws. **Expectations**: - Lead implementation of data protection frameworks and privacy training programs. - Oversee privacy audits, breach investigations, and regulatory reporting. - Advise cross-functional teams on compliance requirements for projects, processes, and third-party engagements. - Manage data protection policies, documentation, and risk mitigation strategies. - Collaborate with international teams to address cross-border data transfer challenges. - Prepare training materials, reports, and guidance for internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities**: - Direct data protection framework projects and privacy impact assessments. - Respond to organizational requests for compliance guidance (internal/external). - Support operational teams in embedding privacy requirements into business processes. - Maintain and update privacy policies, records of processing activities, and risk management frameworks. - Coordinate with procurement/supply chain teams for vendor data protection reviews. **Required Skills**: - Advanced knowledge of EU and UK data protection laws (GDPR, UK GDPR). - Proven ability to design and implement privacy compliance programs in large, complex enterprises. - Strong project management skills for multi-business initiatives. - Expertise in addressing personal data breaches, international data transfers, and audit preparedness. - Excellent communication to explain technical compliance concepts to diverse stakeholders. - Stakeholder management across legal, operational, and technical teams. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in legal, technology, or compliance field. - Preferred certifications: BCS Data Protection Practitioner Certificate, IAPP CIPP/E. - Minimum 5 years of senior-level privacy/data protection experience in a multinational business context.
