Job Title: Software Engineer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based on‑premise services, AWS cloud back‑end components, and React/TypeScript front‑end features for a real‑time athlete training and performance insights platform.
Expectations: 3–5 years of professional engineering experience in production Python services; strong knowledge of TypeScript and React; hands‑on AWS capabilities (Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, CDK); experience with event‑driven workflows, third‑party API integration, OAuth; solid debugging, testing, code‑review, and CI/CD practices; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and maintain new features across Python on‑premise applications and AWS services.
- Develop and orchestrate event‑driven AWS Lambda workflows for video ingestion, processing, and delivery of insights.
- Design and implement Python modules and AWS services for athlete activity sharing, integrating with external APIs and OAuth.
- Create, test, and deploy React components; integrate with TypeScript back‑end services.
- Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and maintain documentation.
- Improve continuous integration and deployment pipelines; monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems using logs and observability tools.
Required Skills:
- Python (production services, scripting)
- TypeScript (full‑stack or back‑end)
- React (component development, API integration)
- AWS services: Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS, CloudWatch, CDK, IaC
- REST APIs, asynchronous processing (queues, events)
- Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Logging, observability, and debugging of distributed systems
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps) are considered a plus.
