**Job title:** Data Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade data pipelines and analytics infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Scala, Java, Flyte, Styx, Docker, and related technologies. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and scientists to implement robust financial and ad‑targeting solutions, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and performance.

- Ad‑tech or financial domain experience is advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Engineer data pipelines and ETL workflows on GCP, utilizing Scala, Scio, Java, Flyte, Styx, Docker, and related frameworks.
- Analyze, document, and implement complex ad and financial processes with product managers and business partners.
- Enhance automated financial controls to maintain data quality and regulatory compliance.
- Work within multi‑functional agile teams, owning end‑to‑end product development and delivery.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and product owners to create insights and solutions for the Ads business.
- Evaluate system performance, implement monitoring, and adopt reliability/testing best practices.
**Required Skills:**
- Data Engineering (pipeline development, ETL)
- SQL (advanced querying, performance tuning)
- System Design (scalable architecture)
- Backend Engineering (preferred, familiarity with Java/Scala)
- Docker & container orchestration
- Experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, etc.)
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration
- Agile development practices
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field *or* equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications such as GCP Professional Data Engineer or relevant cloud/Big Data credentials are a plus.
