Job Description: Job Title: Software Developer in Test (Performance and Scalability) Role Summary: Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for a Kubernetes‑hosted supply‑chain platform. Translate WMS workflows into realistic test scenarios, analyze performance bottlenecks across application, PostgreSQL, and AWS infrastructure, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive scalability improvements. Expectations: - 5+ years in performance and scalability testing or performance engineering. - Deep knowledge of supply‑chain and WMS processes. - Autonomous decision‑making for measuring, executing, and interpreting performance data. - Experience with Kubernetes and AWS enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, run, and report on performance, load, stress, and endurance tests. 2. Develop test plans and realistic workload models from WMS operational patterns. 3. Build and maintain reusable test assets using JMeter (API) and Playwright (UI). 4. Identify and analyze bottlenecks in application logic, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure; recommend root‑cause solutions. 5. Validate regressions and confirm performance improvements using logs, metrics, and APM tools such as Datadog. Required Skills: - Proficient with JMeter (test design, correlation, parameterization, data‑driven execution). - Experience in Playwright for UI workflow validation. - Strong Java and Python coding for troubleshooting, automation, and analysis. - Advanced PostgreSQL performance tuning (slow queries, locks, indexing). - REST and SOAP service testing. - Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS concepts relevant to scaling. - Excellent communication, structured problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration. - Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - No specific certifications required; additional AWS or performance‑engineering certifications are a plus.
