Job Description
**Job Title** Application Support Specialist – ERP **Role Summary** Provide end‑to‑end support, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of enterprise ERP applications (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Epicor, Kerridge, MAM). Own the operational health of ERP systems, resolve technical incidents, manage updates and vendor relationships, and collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Warehouse teams to optimise usage. Extend support to Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) and general IT operations, delivering a consistent, user‑centric service experience across the organisation. **Expectations** - Own ERP platform reliability, ensuring high availability and performance. - Resolve incidents within defined SLAs and produce root‑cause analyses. - Maintain accurate technical documentation and configuration records. - Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Drive minor optimisations, automation, and process improvements. - Support Microsoft 365 and infrastructure services while adhering to IT‑SM best practices. **Key Responsibilities** - Serve as the ERP subject‑matter expert for daily operations and maintenance. - Investigate and resolve system issues (data integrity, workflows, permissions). - Manage technical escalations, system updates, and third‑party vendor interactions. - Translate business requirements into configuration changes and process enhancements. - Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Warehouse to improve application usage. - Identify, propose, and lead minor optimisations and automation initiatives. - Support integration points between ERP and other critical business systems (CRM, inventory, accounting). - Produce and maintain clear technical documentation (processes, configurations, architecture). - Act as the escalation point for complex technical incidents. - Develop and deliver training and onboarding materials for ERP users. - Provide expertise for Microsoft 365 support (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive). - Manage user accounts, licensing, and access within Active Directory/Azure AD. - Contribute to broader service desk functions (endpoint troubleshooting, access control, compliance checks). - Participate in IT project delivery (software upgrades, rollouts, integrations). - Conduct root‑cause analysis on recurrent problems and recommend lasting solutions. - Keep abreast of emerging ERP technologies and propose enhancements. **Required Skills** - Hands‑on support of ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Epicor, etc.) - Proficiency in SQL; experience with PowerShell scripting and Windows PowerShell is a plus. - Knowledge of data flow, system integration, and support processes. - Experience with Microsoft 365 suite, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD. - Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems (Halo, Zendesk, ServiceNow). - Understanding of ITIL principles for service delivery. - Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer‑service skills. - Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non‑technical users. - Self‑motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritise competing workloads. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Certifications advantageous: SAP Basis/ABAP, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 Certified: Power‑Platform Fundamental, ITIL Foundation.
