Job Title: Intern – Fire Protection Engineer Role Summary: Assist senior engineers in fire protection and security design projects; execute routine and moderately complex engineering tasks under close supervision; support code consulting and risk assessment activities. Expectations: Demonstrate initiative, critical‑thinking, and strong communication skills; complete assigned tasks timely; maintain accurate documentation and reporting; actively learn and apply engineering standards and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Perform technical tasks (data collection, analysis, adjustments) using standard engineering methods. - Collaborate with engineers on code compliance, fire protection design, and security integrations. - Assist in drafting reports, correspondence, and presentation materials. - Identify and address discrepancies in technical results. - Follow detailed work processes and submit progress updates. Required Skills: Analytical problem solving; clear written and verbal communication; teamwork and collaboration; basic proficiency with CAD/engineering software and data processing tools; adaptability to evolving project requirements. Required Education & Certifications: Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; at least two years of undergraduate study complete.
