**Job Title:** Senior Data Scientist
**Role Summary:**
Lead the development and deployment of advanced forecasting, optimization, and causal modeling solutions within a global data science Center of Excellence. Drive end‑to‑end machine learning projects that impact supply chain performance and customer experience, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in sales, product, marketing, and engineering.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver scalable AI/ML products that influence corporate strategy and profitability.
- Mentor and coach junior data scientists and analysts.
- Translate complex business challenges into rigorous, reproducible data science solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior executives and non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Engage with business partners to define analytical requirements and scope projects.
2. Design, build, and validate predictive, prescriptive, and causal models focused on supply‑chain forecasting and optimization.
3. Conduct experimental research (DOE, RCT, quasi‑experimental designs) to test interventions.
4. Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to prepare large datasets using SQL, Spark, and other ETL pipelines.
5. Deploy models to enterprise production environments, monitoring performance and iterating as needed.
6. Lead or co‑lead cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
7. Present insights, model results, and strategic implications to technical and executive audiences.
8. Contribute to the organization’s AI/ML vision and best‑practice framework.
**Required Skills:**
- 7+ years of applied data science and machine‑learning experience.
- 2+ years of project leadership in data science initiatives.
- Expertise in probabilistic forecasting, supply‑chain modeling, and causal inference.
- Proficient in SQL, Spark, and Python; experience with model deployment in enterprise systems.
- Strong experimental design skills (DOE, RCT, quasi‑experimental).
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with project‑management tools and methodologies.
- (Preferred) Experience with marketing mix modeling (MMM).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Coursework in Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, and Data Science, plus Business/Management or Customer Analytics.
