**Job Title:** Database Administrator **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and administer enterprise database environments across on‑premises and Microsoft Azure cloud, ensuring high availability, performance, and secure data management. **Expectations:** - Deliver full‑stack database solutions within Agile teams. - Maintain rigorous CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and release management. - Provide expert-level tuning, backup, recovery, and capacity planning. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review project artefacts (Use Cases, SRS, etc.) and produce detailed system design documents. - Create logical and physical data models using Sybase Power Designer. - Design, develop, and automate data loading, conversion, and migration pipelines (OLAP/OLTP to SaaS/PaaS/IaaS). - Build fact/dimension models, data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses. - Design and maintain Azure CI/CD pipelines promoting DACPACs across Dev, IntTest, QA, UAT, and Prod. - Provision and manage cloud resources (storage accounts, disk, VM, key vault, Data Lake). - Administer Oracle, Microsoft Azure SQL, Synapse, and other relational databases (patching, upgrades, tuning, partitioning). - Develop and optimize PL/SQL, SQL Server Stored Procedures, and non‑SQL scripts. - Monitor performance, analyze incidents, and implement timely resolutions. - Create and test backup/recovery and automation scripts. - Support heterogeneous data replication solutions. - Document and resolve database issues and maintain knowledge base. **Required Skills:** - Microsoft Azure technologies: Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, DACPAC, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, VMs. - Cloud data platforms, data management, and data exchange tools. - DataOps principles, CI/CD, workflow orchestration, deployment, automation. - Strong database administration experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Synapse, DB2, IMS. - Advanced PL/SQL and SQL Server Stored Procedure development and performance tuning. - Experience in designing data models, ETL pipelines, and database integration. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, or equivalent.
