**Senior Cloud Engineer**
**Role Summary:** Oversee a mature Azure environment, driving design, security, governance, and scalability while leading cloud architecture and delivery in a regulated industry. Focus on hands-on technical leadership, compliance, automation, and cross-team collaboration.
**Expectations:**
- Influence cloud strategy, standards, and architectural decisions.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance in a healthcare-regulated environment.
- Provide technical leadership, client communication, and escalation support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure (VNets, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.).
- Administer VMs, storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and encryption.
- Lead disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
- Execute on-prem to Azure migrations with risk mitigation.
- Manage Entra ID, RBAC, and access controls.
- Implement governance, automation, and FinOps cost optimization.
- Support HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and HITECH compliance.
- Build CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
- Monitor systems with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Datadog.
**Required Skills:**
- Azure infrastructure (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Firewalls).
- VM/storate management, Azure SQL PaaS, enterprise encryption.
- Cloud security, access control (Entra ID, RBAC).
- Disater recovery, backup, and high-availability planning.
- CI/CD pipeline development, FinOps, and cost optimization.
- Compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, HITECH).
- Monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Datadog).
- Client communication and technical leadership.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT/related field, or 7–10 years equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years Azure-focused engineering experience.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Intune, Teams.
- Incident/change management and security best practices.
