**Job title:** Principal Enterprise Architect – ServiceNow (Remote US)
**Role Summary:**
Leads architecture, design, and governance of the organization’s ServiceNow platform. Sets strategic direction, establishes standards, and drives secure, scalable implementations across multiple ServiceNow modules. Provides technical thought leadership, mentors engineering teams, and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture principles and business objectives.

- Ensure secure, high‑availability, and compliant deployments.
- Collaborate across IT and business stakeholders.
- Foster a community of practice and mentor development teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and evolve ServiceNow architecture and roadmap aligned with business needs.
- Lead solution design across ITOM, ITBM/PPM, HRSD, CSM, ITAM, GRC, SecOps, Integration Services, AI, ITSM/DevOps modules.
- Establish and enforce platform standards, design patterns, and governance.
- Advocate adoption of new ServiceNow capabilities and releases.
- Provide architectural guidance, ensuring security, data integrity, scalability, and upgradeability.
- Partner with other architecture disciplines and product teams to integrate ServiceNow within the enterprise ecosystem.
- Develop reference architectures, reusable frameworks, and design templates.
- Mentor ServiceNow engineers and build a community of practice.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years IT experience, 5+ years deep ServiceNow platform architecture expertise.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large‑scale, enterprise‑level ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules.
- Expertise in core components: Service Catalog, Workflow, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, CMDB, Discovery, Performance Analytics, Custom Apps.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, CSM, GRC, and related modules.
- Experience with integration patterns (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.).
- Solid grasp of enterprise architecture principles, security, and data governance.
- Hands‑on development: JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, Studio/App Engine.
- Leadership, communication, stakeholder influencing.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified System Administrator, or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) highly desirable.
