Job Description
**Job Title** Production Planning Assistant **Role Summary** Support end‑to‑end production purchasing and logistics for a fashion brand, ensuring accurate purchase orders, timely delivery tracking, and effective communication across internal teams and overseas suppliers. **Expactations** - Issue production purchase orders in SAP on schedule. - Maintain up‑to‑date SAP records, including delay reason codes. - Coordinate with Merchandising, Product Development, and PLM to validate delivery, costing, and allocation before PO placement. - Monitor supplier lead times, identify risks, and work to mitigate delays. - Provide weekly delay analyses to Merchandising/Production teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Submit and track purchase orders to vendors, ensuring timely approvals and deliveries. - Evaluate and update warehouse delivery dates; alert cross‑functional partners of potential issues. - Communicate regularly with overseas suppliers and offices about deliveries, delays, and open issues. - Update SAP with accurate data, maintain delay reason codes, and ensure system integrity. - Collaborate with Merch and PD teams to verify product information in PLM prior to PO creation. - Analyze and report on delay trends, recommending actionable improvements. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with SAP (purchase order and delivery modules). - Strong written and verbal communication. - Organizational ability to manage multiple parallel projects. - Time‑management and problem‑solving aptitude. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. - 1–2 years of experience in production planning, purchasing, or supply‑chain support. - Demonstrated knowledge of SAP; certification in SAP not required but preferred.
