Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Administrator Role Summary: Provide Tier I technical support and daily operations management for enterprise cloud environments, including implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, user access, and training. Act as the primary liaison for issue escalation to Tier II teams while maintaining compliance with DoD security directives. Expactations: * Timely resolution of cloud incidents and alerts. * Secure and efficient operation of cloud infrastructure. * Clear communication with users, Tier II support, and management. * Continuous improvement of documentation and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver Tier I support for cloud-based systems and applications. - Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, Azure/Google Cloud). - Monitor cloud environments, respond to alerts, and resolve basic incidents. - Assist with user access management and permission configurations. - Onboard new users and provide hands‑on training. - Support day‑to‑day operations of client, server, storage, and network devices. - Collaborate with Tier II teams on workload, patch, and deeper troubleshooting. - Create and update documentation for cloud processes and procedures. - Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets to management and internal customers. Required Skills: - ≥ 1 year systems administration/automation on Windows and/or Linux. - Basic PowerShell and/or Bash scripting. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Understanding of cloud architecture, security, and compliance. - Knowledge of containerization technologies and debugging techniques. - Basic networking principles (VPC, subnets, routing). - Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management. - Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet). Required Education & Certifications: - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 4 years of relevant experience. - Compliance with DoD Directive 8140 (or successor) and 8570 IAT Level 1 (e.g., Security+ or higher). - Top Secret clearance required.
