Job Description: Job title: Azure Data Scientist Role Summary: Leverage Azure-based data science and AI tools to deliver strategic insights, optimize operations, and drive innovation. Expactations: 12+ month contract, hybrid schedule (onsite Tuesdays & Wednesdays). Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using Azure ML, Python, and Power Platform. - Build and maintain unified analytics streams via Power BI, Azure Synapse, and OneLake. - Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. - Analyze large, structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights. - Create dashboards, visualizations, and data stories to convey findings to stakeholders. - Lead technical initiatives, establish data science best practices, and mentor peers. - Implement data governance, quality standards, and model validation frameworks. - Monitor and evaluate emerging AI/ML innovations to continually improve capabilities. Required Skills: - 5+ years in data analysis, modeling, and handling large datasets. - 8+ years of programming with Python, SQL, Spark, and Power BI. - Deep expertise in Azure ecosystem: Azure ML, Synapse, Fabric, Power Platform, OneLake. - Proficiency in predictive and prescriptive analytics, ML algorithms, and CI/CD pipelines for model deployment. - Strong data storytelling and stakeholder communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. - Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate or equivalent credential preferred.
