Job Description
**Job Title** Full‑Stack Software Engineer (New Graduates) **Role Summary** Develop and own new features across Wanderlog’s web and mobile platforms, design product enhancements, and build data ingestion pipelines. Collaborate directly with founders and other engineers to create user‑centric travel solutions while maintaining a highly typed, well‑tested codebase. **Expectations** - Self‑driven ownership of end‑to‑end product features - Rapid prototyping and iteration with minimal technical debt - Cross‑functional communication with product, design, and data teams - Continuous delivery and high code quality in a fast‑moving startup **Key Responsibilities** - Build new UI/UX components on React (web) and React Native (mobile) - Design and implement RESTful APIs with Node.js/Express - Develop data pipelines to crawl, process, and consolidate web data sources - Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests in TypeScript - Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards - Debug, optimize, and scale production systems (incl. use of Redis, Elasticsearch, Python as needed) - Contribute to product strategy, create specifications, and prioritize roadmap items **Required Skills** - Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript with strong React and/or React Native experience - Backend development with Node.js and Express - Familiarity with modern state management and component libraries - Experience building robust test suites (Jest, React Testing Library, etc.) - Ability to design and deploy data pipelines (ETL) and work with APIs - Comfortable with version control (Git), issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines - Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and optimization skills - Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work in cross‑disciplinary teams - Passion for building user‑first products and iterating based on feedback **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - Recent graduate status acceptable; strong portfolio or relevant coursework preferable ---
