**Job Title:** Lead Java Developer (Male/Female) **Role Summary:** Lead Java Developer oversees backend development teams, drives technical excellence and continuous improvement of e‑commerce micro‑service solutions, and collaborates across business units to align technology strategy with business objectives. **Expectations:** - Manage and mentor a team of 5‑10 Java developers. - Deliver high‑quality, scalable micro‑services meeting performance and delivery KPIs. - Act as a technical advocate for best practices, API design (REST/GraphQL), and DevOps integration. - Communicate progress and technical strategy to senior management in English. - Invest in professional growth of team and implement iterative improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead backend development, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and delivery timelines. - Set clear, ambitious yet realistic goals for team members and monitor progress. - Recruit and coordinate external technical resources for micro‑service projects. - Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and oversee documentation of APIs and services. - Define, track, and report on technical performance KPIs for group‑wide e‑commerce platforms. - Drive continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines and containerization best practices. - Participate in COTECH/COARCH technical and architectural committees, influencing platform decisions. - Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable Java solutions. - Mentor team on REST, GraphQL, micro‑service patterns, testing frameworks, and modern tooling. - Communicate with cross‑functional teams, translating technical insights into actionable business outcomes. - Propose new services or architectural enhancements to improve performance or cost efficiency. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3 years of team management experience, 5+ years of senior Java development. - Deep knowledge of Java micro‑services architecture and API design (REST, GraphQL). - Proficient in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tools (Maven/Gradle). - Strong testing principles and familiarity with unit, integration, and automated UI tests. - Experience in e‑commerce, retail or B2B domains. - Excellent written and verbal English for collaboration across international units. - Leadership qualities: coaching, goal setting, conflict resolution, and fostering collaboration. - Understanding of performance monitoring, logging, and observability practices. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Certifications such as Oracle Java SE Proficient or similar Java architectural credentials are preferred.
