**Job Title**
Embedded Systems Development Engineer (H/F)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and integration of avionics and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) embedded systems for a fleet of non‑complex aircraft. Own end‑to‑end project lifecycle, from requirement analysis through integration, testing, certification, and deployment, while managing external suppliers and a technical team.
**Expectations**
- 5–10 years of aerospace experience, preferably in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) or equivalent.
- Proven track record managing end‑to‑end embedded system projects.
- Strong leadership in both partner procurement and internal technical team management.
- Fluent in English (written & oral); excellent organizational and documentation skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Technical Decision‑making** – Ensure technical and cost viability of flight‑ground solutions for ISR, thermography, mapping, and surveillance missions.
2. **Project Ownership** – Define, plan, budget, and execute system integration projects, meeting schedule and fiscal targets.
3. **Stakeholder Management** – Contract, coordinate, and quality‑control external suppliers (DOA/AP‑DOA).
4. **System Design & Specification** – Translate business needs into functional specifications, architecture, and detailed design documents.
5. **Testing & Certification** – Develop test plans, validate hardware/software, and provide required data for system certification.
6. **Technology Surveillance** – Monitor ISR sector innovations and assess applicability to ongoing projects.
7. **Team Leadership** – Guide and mentor technicians, ensuring technical competence and project alignment.
**Required Skills**
- Embedded systems architecture (protocols, connectivity, power budgeting, EMC, RF).
- Proficiency with avionics flight systems, optical systems (Optronics, laser pointers, lidar), radar, GPS, AIS, and mission software.
- Understanding of mechanical integration for aircraft systems.
- Project management (planning, budgeting, risk, KPI tracking).
- Supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High‑level English communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering (ISAE‑SupAero, ENSMA, ENAC, ESTACA, etc.).
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant aerospace experience, ideally in MRO or comparable sectors.
- Experience with DOA (Define‑Operate‑Animate) and AP‑DOA processes.
