Job Description

**Job Title:** Solutions Engineer (US East) **Role Summary:** Serve as the primary technical liaison throughout the sales cycle and customer success onboarding, translating enterprise customer requirements into scalable solutions using Lakera’s AI Defense Platform. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize product delivery, develop technical documentation, and drive product roadmap improvements. **Expectations:** - Manage relationships with large, complex enterprise accounts. - Deliver high‑impact technical solutions that align with customer infrastructures. - Own the technical hand‑off from sales to delivery and ensure rapid value realization for customers. - Build repeatable playbooks and best practices that scale the Solutions Engineering function. - Advocate for product enhancements based on real‑world customer feedback. **Key Responsibilities:** - Act as the primary technical contact for prospects evaluating the platform. - Analyze customer needs and architect solutions within their existing infrastructure. - Partner with Customer Success to enable smooth onboarding and accelerate platform adoption. - Create and maintain technical documentation, guides, and playbooks for pre‑sales and post‑sales processes. - Support product configuration and implement minor technical changes for prospect and customer implementations. - Capture and relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering to shape product roadmap. - Develop scalable Solutions Engineering processes and repeatable best practices. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or a similar role. - Proven experience managing relationships with large, complex enterprise organizations. - Strong coding proficiency in Python and JavaScript. - Experience delivering large‑scale implementations on AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. - Deep understanding of security, compliance, and IT processes required for B2B enterprise deployments. - Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers individually, in small groups, and at conferences. - Self‑starter with organizational skills to drive projects to completion. - Passion for AI safety and ethical deployment, and a willingness to thrive in a fast‑moving startup environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
