Job Description

**Job Title:** Platform / System Engineer **Role Summary:** Act as the infrastructure subject‑matter expert for a global, 24/7 web‑scraping platform servicing high‑frequency operations. Drive performance, reliability, and process enhancements across the stack, collaborate closely with development and central infrastructure teams, and guide cross‑cloud strategy to maintain optimal operations. **Expectations:** - Innovate and embrace disruptive technologies in the crypto‑currency domain. - Continuously learn and apply financial and technical knowledge. - Adapt to a fluid, non‑hierarchical environment with casual workplace norms. - Demonstrate flexibility, dedication, and a proactive problem‑solving attitude. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as the SME for the worldwide infrastructure supporting the web‑scraping function. - Own end‑to‑end performance analysis, driving improvements and reducing manual overhead. - Partner with dev teams on architecture, priority setting, and technical roadmaps. - Coordinate with central infrastructure to align standards and share best practices. - Manage multi‑cloud operations: evaluate, onboard, and optimize relationships with cloud vendors. - Tune and optimize Linux/network stack for production workloads. - Provide on‑call support during business hours and participate in out‑of‑hour rotations. **Required Skills:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience. - 2–4 years in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering. - Proven production experience in global cloud environments; strong AWS and multi‑region/multi‑cloud networking. - Advanced scripting in Python and Bash. - Deep Linux/network stack expertise with focus on optimization and tuning. - Experience with forward proxy tools (e.g., Squid) and CDN operations for production APIs/websites. - Manage external vendor relationships. **Nice to Have:** - Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments. - Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk. - IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant cloud or networking certifications beneficial but not mandatory.
