**Job Title**
Systems Administrator – Projects
**Role Summary**
Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of IT projects for client organizations. Responsible for technical project oversight, configuration, deployment, and knowledge transfer to support teams. Works independently in a client‑facing environment, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery while maintaining high industry standards.
**Expectations**
- Deliver multiple, diverse IT projects (firewalls, switches, Office 365, backups, etc.) within defined scope, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, account managers, and support staff to ensure seamless transition of deliverables.
- Travel to client sites (primarily the Greater Montreal region) for deployment and support activities (≈3–4 visits per month).
- Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, scripting, and change‑management skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system monitoring.
- Begin mastering internal processes and tools by 6 months; lead independent projects and client relationships by 12 months.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop detailed technical work plans from approved project scope.
2. Gather and analyze infrastructure information to inform project execution.
3. Install, configure, and validate solutions such as firewalls, LAN/WAN, switches, wireless, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, anti‑spam, and backup systems.
4. Document changes, monitor systems, and update internal knowledge bases.
5. Communicate critical changes and hand‑offs to support teams.
6. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
7. Maintain high‑quality deliverables and adhere to industry best practices.
**Required Skills**
- 5–8 years of system administration experience.
- Proficiency in configuring and deploying Active Directory, LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless, Exchange, and Office 365.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Dell, and Fortinet equipment.
- Fundamentals of PowerShell scripting.
- Strong troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of change‑management, risk assessment, and mitigation.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and stress management.
- Autonomous, perfection‑oriented, results‑focused with strong communication abilities.
- French fluency (written & oral).
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- DEC, AEC, or equivalent in a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Azure, Windows Server) are advantageous.
