**Job Title:** Embedded Service Technician II
**Role Summary:**
Perform on‑site service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of intrusion, CCTV, and access control security systems for customers. Provide post‑installation support, execute preventive maintenance, and assist with new equipment start‑up while maintaining professional appearance and strong customer relations.
**Expectations:**
- Hold a valid CT Low Voltage License (E‑2 or C‑5) with no exceptions.
- Minimum 1–2 years experience installing/servicing Access Control and CCTV systems.
- Ability to work on‑call rotationally, including after‑hours and weekend emergencies.
- Lift and carry items up to 75 lb.; maintain safety and cost‑effective work practices.
- Possess a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Service intrusion, CCTV, and access‑control systems (ProWatch, Genetec, AXIS IP, etc.).
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance: inspect, adjust, clean, calibrate, and test equipment.
- Complete maintenance within assigned hours to minimize callbacks and emergency calls.
- Assist with start‑up, installation, and check‑out of new hardware/software systems.
- Plan basic electrical equipment layouts and support system installations as needed.
- Maintain professional image (personal and vehicle) and uphold company policies, safety standards, and documentation procedures.
- Foster customer relationships to aid contract retention.
- Stay current on product and technology updates; attend required training.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency with Honeywell ProWatch, Genetec Security Center, AXIS IP cameras, Schlage wireless locks, automatic door operators, and related hardware.
- Experience troubleshooting door hardware, video systems, media converters, and fiber/IP technology.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server/Client environments and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- High School diploma or GED (required).
- Vocational/Technical degree in electrical, security, or computer systems (preferred).
- CT Low Voltage License (E‑2 or C‑5) – mandatory.
- Victor/Video Edge certification or equivalent video‑system certification (preferred).
