Job Description
Job title: Electronic System Security Jr. Technician with Security Clearance Role Summary: Provide hands‑on design, procurement, installation, maintenance, and lifecycle support for electronic and physical security systems (PACS, IDS, VSS) in federal contracts. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, manage access control, maintain inventory, produce reports, and deliver on‑site training. Expectations: * Working independently to meet project deadlines and response times. * Maintain Top‑Secret security clearance. * Collaborate with third‑party vendors and internal teams. * Uphold industry standards and federal security policies. Key Responsibilities: - Design, procure, install, and sustain security systems (PACS, IDS, VSS, access control). - Conduct routine maintenance, configuration, programming, and lifecycle replacement. - Integrate additional safety and security subsystems. - Ensure equipment meets local, state, federal, and ADA requirements. - Update third‑party systems and train personnel. - Perform security assessments, technology upgrades, and product selection. - Test, verify, and inspect systems for regulatory compliance. - Recommend security equipment and solutions. - Issue, assign, and decommission access control cards and rights. - Maintain parts and equipment inventory for timely repairs. - Monitor and resolve service and repair issues; maintain records. - Generate reports for ESS/physical security systems. - Conduct on‑site ESS training for customer personnel. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills: - 3+ years of experience servicing and maintaining PACS, IDS, VSS. - Knowledge of physical and electronic security, access/key control. - Familiarity with HSPD, NIST SP, FICAM, OMB, ISC. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Good judgment, initiative, and problem‑solving. - Working knowledge of low‑voltage systems and network principles. - Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. - Top‑Secret security clearance (current or attainable). - Successful completion of federal background check, MVR, drug screen.
