Job Description
Job title: Citrix Engineer Role summary: Provide day‑to‑day operations and second‑level support for Windows Server (80%) and Citrix environments (20%). Manage and troubleshoot Virtual Apps, Desktops, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Workspace app, Director, Studio, Profile Management and on‑premises NetScaler, ensuring high availability and performance. Expectations: - Fluent in Dutch, French, and English; German language skills are a plus. - Independent, proactive, and able to manage strict deadlines. - Team player within a 6‑member team, maintaining non‑9‑to‑5 availability. - Driver’s licence, personal vehicle, and mobile phone required. Key responsibilities: - Handle second‑level support tickets that first‑line helpdesk cannot resolve. - Investigate and resolve user or environment incidents across Windows and Citrix platforms. - Monitor infrastructure with PRTG and maintain anti‑malware tools (Trend Micro Deep Security, Scanmail, MailMarshall, TMCM). - Perform routine administration of Windows Server 2016‑2025, Active Directory, MS Exchange, SCCM/SCOM, VMware vSphere, and NetApp storage. - Document procedures, incident reports, and configuration changes. - Collaborate with team to maintain a highly available Citrix delivery environment. - Participate in on‑call rotation and provide 24/7 support as needed. Required skills: - Practical experience with Citrix virtualization (Virtual Apps & Desktops), Citrix App Delivery & Security, and NetScaler. - Windows Server administration (2016‑2025). - Active Directory, MS Exchange, SCCM, and SCOM management. - VMware vSphere ESX administration. - PowerShell scripting (advanced knowledge preferred). - NetApp storage management (Level 1‑2). - Network and security fundamentals. - Monitoring tools (PRTG). - Anti‑malware products (Trend Micro, Scanmail, etc.). - Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills. - Multilingual with Dutch, French, English; German a plus. Required education & certifications: - Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA‑V) or equivalent. - Citrix Certified Associate – App Delivery and Security (CCA‑AppDS) preferred. - Relevant certifications for Windows Server, Active Directory, or VMware advantageous.
