Job Title: Head of Technology Projects
Role Summary: Senior executive leading the end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise technology transformation projects—including ERP, CRM, cloud, data, and customer‑facing initiatives—acting as the bridge between business strategy and execution.
Expectations: Deliver programmes on time, within budget, and with measurable business outcomes; provide transparent governance and risk management; communicate progress to executive leadership; manage budgets, partners, and change readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead portfolio and delivery of technology change initiatives.
- Align projects with business strategy, prioritise, sequence, and manage dependencies.
- Define and enforce governance frameworks, stage gates, reporting, and delivery controls.
- Chair steering groups; escalation point for delivery risks and issues.
- Build business cases, track benefits, and conduct post‑implementation reviews.
- Promote consistent use of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into executable plans.
- Advise Executive Committee on progress, risks, and priorities.
- Own cost management, forecasts, and budget controls.
- Select, contract, and manage delivery partners, SaaS vendors, and external integrators.
- Identify programme risks, dependencies, and ensure operational readiness and adoption.
- Embed change management and business readiness practices.
Required Skills:
- Proven track record delivering complex technology programmes/portfolios (ERP, CRM, cloud, data).
- Strong governance, financial management, and planning capabilities.
- Experience managing mixed delivery models (internal teams, SaaS, external partners).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive‑level communication.
- Ability to balance pace, risk, cost, and quality in a fast‑moving environment.
- Knowledge of digital transformation, analytics, and change management.
- Strong leadership, pragmatic delivery mindset, outcome focus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- MBA or equivalent commercial/technical degree preferred.
- Formal programme delivery certification (PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe, Agile) desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a commercial organisation.
