**Job Title:** Founding Engineer (Full‑Stack)
**Role Summary:** Architect, build, and ship core product features across front‑end, back‑end, and AI layers. Own end‑to‑end delivery cycles, from concept through production, shaping both product and technical strategy for an early‑stage YC‑backed startup.
**Expectations:** Deliver high‑quality, performant, and reliable systems under tight timelines. Demonstrate ownership of feature lifecycles, from customer discovery through API design, UI/UX, database modeling, and infrastructure deployment. Provide clear communication with founders and peers, prioritizing impact and rapid iteration.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement front‑end components using Next.js and TypeScript, ensuring responsive, data‑rich UX.
- Build back‑end services in Python/FastAPI, exposing REST/GraphQL APIs for the front‑end and partner integrations.
- Model and query PostgreSQL data, optimize performance for large‑scale datasets.
- Develop visualizations that aggregate millions of data points for clear analytics.
- Architect and manage AWS infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3) for scalable, cost‑effective deployments.
- Integrate LLM APIs to deliver AI‑powered search and automation features.
- Own feature ownership from ideation through shipping, including test, deployment, and maintenance.
- Gather customer feedback, translate needs into technical solutions, and iterate on product quality.
- Collaborate with founders on product vision, technology decisions, and platform scaling plans.
**Required Skills:**
- 1–3+ years of full‑stack development in VC‑backed or early‑stage startups.
- Strong proficiency with Next.js, TypeScript, and Python (FastAPI).
- Proven experience leveraging LLMs (ChatGPT, LangChain, etc.) to build functional product features.
- Solid background in relational database design and PostgreSQL query optimization.
- Hands‑on experience managing AWS services (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3).
- Ability to design clean, well‑documented APIs and scalable data pipelines.
- Competence in creating high‑performance, data‑dense visualizations.
- Excellent problem‑solving, ownership mindset, and effective communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
