**Job title:** Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer (Pacific)
**Role summary:**
Lead engineering and execution of high‑voltage transmission line projects (up to 765 kV) across multiple sites. Oversee project planning, scheduling, cost control, QA/QC, client communication, and multidisciplinary team coordination while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrate technical leadership and mentorship within the Power Delivery Team.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Engineer transmission line projects: design, layout, foundations, assembly drawings, and construction specifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules; conduct weekly or bi‑weekly progress meetings.
- Coordinate project activities with clients and internal teams; prepare status reports.
- Forecast resource needs and assist in capacity planning.
- Lead or support Project Managers on scope, schedule, budget, and change management.
- Facilitate QA/QC processes and adherence to WSP procedures.
- Travel to client sites and field locations as required.
- Support department functions: recruitment, performance development, business improvement, and resource forecasting.
**Required skills:**
- Strong technical knowledge of transmission lines, PLS‑CADD, staking, foundations, and construction methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage project schedules.
- Understanding of NESC, RUS, or GO‑90 regulations.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with health, safety, and conduct policies.
**Required education & certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
- 5–7 years of transmission project experience with team leadership.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Optional (preferred) qualifications – not required: experience with field program planning, subcontractor management, cost estimating, ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Microstation, foundation design software, POLE/TOWER design, MBA, and active membership in technical societies.
