**Job Title**: Full Stack Engineer (Founding Engineer)
**Role Summary**:
As a founding engineer in a seed‑stage AI startup, you will design, build, and scale a platform that ingests global pharmaceutical data, applies AI reasoning, and delivers actionable insight and automated workflows to enterprise customers. You will work directly with founders to shape system architecture, infrastructure, and engineering culture from day one, ensuring the product is production‑ready and scalable.
**Expectations**:
- Ship reliable, production‑grade SaaS platforms and data pipelines.
- Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals and rapid learning of new technologies.
- Apply AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code).
- Deliver maintainable, testable code with robust observability and CI/CD pipelines.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Architecture & Infrastructure**: Define scalable, multi‑tenant SaaS architecture and cloud deployment strategy.
2. **Front‑end Development**: Build responsive UI with React and TypeScript.
3. **Back‑end Development**: Implement APIs and services in Python, engage with PostgreSQL data modeling.
4. **Data Engineering**: Create ingestion pipelines (APIs, RSS, web scraping), implement vector database pipelines, and orchestrate LLMs with prompt engineering.
5. **Observability & DevOps**: Set up monitoring, logging, testing frameworks, and CI/CD for continuous delivery.
6. **Collaboration & Culture**: Partner with founders on product vision, define coding standards, and foster an engineering culture centered on quality and speed.
**Required Skills**:
- **Programming**: TypeScript, React, Python.
- **Databases**: PostgreSQL, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus).
- **AI**: LLM orchestration, prompt engineering.
- **Data Engineering**: API integration, RSS feeds, web scraping, data pipelines, medallion‑style modeling (optional).
- **Cloud & DevOps**: IaC, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, observability tools.
- **Testing**: Unit, integration, end‑to‑end testing frameworks.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong collaboration, communication, problem‑solving, and rapid learning.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or similar are a plus but not mandatory.
