**Job title**
Information Security Officer
**Role Summary**
Develop, implement, and manage the organization’s information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all data and systems across the telecom network. Oversee risk assessment, compliance with national, EU and telecom regulations, incident response, and cyber resilience. Lead the security team and coordinate with SOC, IT, network, legal, and communications functions.
**Expectations**
- Define and maintain a security program aligned with business and regulatory goals.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with GDPR, NIS2, national telecom authorities, and other relevant laws.
- Lead incident response and crisis management, conducting post‑incident reviews.
- Review and approve security architecture for new deployments, vendor integrations, and technology changes.
- Mentor and develop the information security staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Formulate and update the information security strategy.
- Set security requirements for new network deployments, vendors, and technologies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks across IT and network landscapes.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR, NIS2, national telecom regulations, and contractual security clauses.
- Lead the cybersecurity incident response process: detection, containment, remediation, post‑incident analysis.
- Coordinate with SOC, IT, Network Operations, Legal, and Communications teams.
- Develop and maintain incident response, crisis management, and cyber resilience plans.
- Oversee security controls: IAM, network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, logging, and monitoring.
- Monitor threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks specific to telecom environments.
- Approve security architecture/design for projects and changes.
- Ensure readiness for large‑scale incidents impacting network availability or customer data.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the information security team.
**Required Skills**
- 3–5+ years in information security, preferably in telecom or large‑scale infrastructure.
- Proven ability to secure complex networks and mission‑critical systems.
- Strong knowledge of telecom network architectures and IT security controls.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and audits in telecom contexts.
- Proficiency in incident response, crisis management, and cyber resilience planning.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and additional proficiency in French or Dutch.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent.
