Job Description

Job Title: Senior Azure Platform Engineer Role Summary: Design, automate, and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support agile development and operations. Lead architecture reviews, develop scalable solutions, and implement identity and governance practices while enabling self‑service capabilities. Expectations: - 5–8+ years of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience. - Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure, automation with PowerShell/Python, and modern cloud practices. - Strong analytical, communication, and mentorship skills to collaborate across teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Evaluate existing Azure and hybrid cloud environments, recommending architectural improvements. 2. Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions. 3. Develop technical design documents and architecture diagrams. 4. Build and maintain automation scripts and tooling for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management. 5. Enable self‑service infrastructure for development teams through internal platform development. 6. Drive automation of operational workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle processes. 7. Collaborate with security teams to enforce identity, access, and governance policies. 8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff. 9. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Skills: - Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Azure AD, governance). - Automation: PowerShell, Python, scripting best practices. - Cloud architecture design for scalable and hybrid setups. - CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitOps). - Identity and access management, security fundamentals. - Problem‑solving and effective written/verbal communication.
