DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating highly available, secure Kubernetes environments on GCP for multi‑tenant workloads. Drives CI/CD automation, observability, and security best practices while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support the bank’s next‑generation services platform.
**Expectations**
- Deliver production‑grade GCP infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters within a 6‑month contract.
- Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of cloud‑native services, from architecture to troubleshooting.
- Leverage automation, IaC, and GitOps to achieve rapid, repeatable deployments.
- Maintain rigorous security and compliance posture across all environments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, resilient GKE clusters supporting multitenant workloads.
- Design and enforce security controls (OPA Gatekeeper, mTLS, fine‑grained RBAC, KMS, PKI).
- Build, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines (Harness, GitOps workflows).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and relevant IaC tools.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, networking, and scalability.
- Integrate observability stacks (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace).
- Partner with product, security, and operations teams to align cloud solutions with business goals.
**Required Skills**
- GCP: Deep experience with GKE, Cloud Networking (VPN, Hybrid Connectivity, NAT, IPAM), security services (KMS, PKI).
- Kubernetes: Production‑grade cluster operations, service‑mesh (Istio/Anthos), sidecar injection, mTLS, core services (CoreDNS, cert‑manager).
- DevOps/SRE: CI/CD pipeline design, IaC (Terraform), scripting (Python, Go, Bash), Harness or equivalent.
- Observability & Security: Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Aqua Security, OPA Gatekeeper, least‑privilege access.
- Linux internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in live, high‑availability environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Professional certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Docker Certified Associate (preferred).
