Job Description
**Job Title**: Senior Internal IT Auditor (Church Audit Department) **Role Summary**: Lead and perform internal IT audits of the Church’s global technology operations, assess controls and risks, provide assurance reports, and recommend remediation to senior leadership across diverse business units. **Expectations**: - 2–8 years of IT audit or related experience in a complex organization. - Licensed CISA or CISSP. - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master’s preferred. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 1–2 times per year. - Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills. - Ability to work collaboratively, drive results, and manage multiple audit engagements. - Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑Day Saints with a valid temple recommend. **Key Responsibilities**: 1. Plan, execute, and document IT audit engagements for global Church entities (media, humanitarian, temples, real estate, hospitality, finance, etc.). 2. Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of information‑technology controls, risk management, and governance processes. 3. Identify and assess control gaps, emerging risks, and compliance issues; develop corrective action plans with stakeholders. 4. Prepare clear, concise audit reports and deliver findings to senior leaders and the First Presidency. 5. Support continuous improvement initiatives and technology risk mitigation strategies. 6. Coordinate with external auditors, regulators, and IT teams to ensure alignment and compliance. 7. Participate in training, professional development, and the maintenance of CISA, CISSP, or CIA certifications. **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in IT audit methodology and frameworks (e.g., CIA). - Knowledge of enterprise IT systems, cybersecurity controls, data privacy regulations, and risk assessment. - Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving abilities. - Strong written communication, report writing, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and collaborate across diverse teams. - Willingness and availability for international travel. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related discipline (Master’s preferred). - Valid CISA or CISSP license (must be current). - Eligible for, and willing to pursue, the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
