Job Description

Job title: Freelance Senior Business Analyst Role Summary: Act as the primary liaison between aviation business and IT teams to achieve process harmonisation and improve or redesign the application landscape for intercontinental network planning and control. Lead modelling, simulation, and feature backlog development to align freight forecast with network capacity. Expactations: • Work autonomously within a global team. • Deliver clear, actionable user stories, logical data models, and process diagrams that support business and technical stakeholders. • Ensure continuous alignment of business requirements with available IT solutions and propose improvements or greenfield developments where necessary. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct cross‑domain process harmonisation and document results in BPMN. • Create and maintain detailed simulation scenarios integrated with cost calculations. • Write comprehensive user stories and maintain the feature backlog. • Remodel data and process models, producing logical data models and business rule specifications. • Validate requirements through documentation, use‑case analysis, and stakeholder review. Required Skills: • Experienced Business Analyst with proven independence. • Strong modelling and specification writing (BPMN, logical data modeling, user stories). • Proficient in structured analysis techniques (SA/SD, Information Engineering, or equivalent). • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (technical to non‑technical). • Fluency in English, Dutch advantageous. • Knowledge of aviation industry standards a plus. Required Education & Certifications: • Relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience). • Certification such as CBAP or equivalent is desirable.
