**Job Title:** Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Equity Partner **Role Summary:** Join a corporate legal practice as a Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Equity Partner, leading client advisory on privacy, data protection, and cyber risk. Build and maintain a portable book of business, oversee multidisciplinary legal teams, shape firm strategy, and contribute to succession planning. **Expactations:** - Lead the privacy and cybersecurity practice with minimal oversight. - Develop new client relationships while sustaining existing ones. - Manage multiple complex matters and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines. - Contribute strategically to firm growth and succession planning. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide counsel on privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), data breach response, and cyber‑security strategy. - Represent clients in negotiations, investigations, and litigation related to data privacy and cybersecurity. - Identify and cultivate new business opportunities; maintain a robust book of business. - Lead, mentor, and develop junior attorneys and support staff. - Ensure compliance with state bar requirements and uphold professional ethics. - Collaborate with other practice groups to deliver integrated services. **Required Skills:** - Strong interpersonal and client‑facing communication. - Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities. - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. - Ability to balance multiple high‑priority matters effectively. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Juris Doctor (JD) degree. - Admission to practice law in Illinois or another state with UBE‑qualified score, comity waiver, or willingness to take the Illinois bar exam. ---
