**Job title:** Security Specialist
**Role Summary:**
Acts as the primary technical liaison for Managed Detection and Response (MDR) customers, guiding them through onboarding, usage, and optimization of an AI‑driven threat detection platform. Provides expert security guidance, drives adoption of advanced services, and collaborates internally to deliver a seamless customer experience.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver exceptional customer service and partner with senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction, health scoring, and active product usage.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, MDR standards, and security tooling.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and nurture relationships with enterprise customers, addressing their technical and business needs.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance on platform configuration and integration.
- Onboard new customers into MDR/MXDR offerings, ensuring smooth transition and rapid value realization.
- Collaborate with sales, professional services, engineering, and product teams to align customer goals and refine solutions.
- Monitor and report on customer health scores, usage metrics, and renewal factors.
- Design and deliver training or adoption programs to increase product utilization.
- Participate in renewal strategy discussions, identifying upsell opportunities.
- Drive integration of ancillary services (e.g., Vectra Cognito) into customer workflows.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong knowledge of network security, enterprise software, and security product lines (firewalls, SIEM, MDR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to engage across all levels.
- Proven experience leading relationships with senior leaders and technical teams.
- Track record in a customer‑facing enterprise software role (CSM, TAM, Sales Engineering).
- Familiarity with Vectra, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting high‑touch, Fortune 500‑class customers.
- Project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Analytical, negotiating, and influencing abilities.
- Desired coding skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or API interactions; open‑source development experience a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security credentials preferred.
