Job title: Senior Backend Java Developer
Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable microservice‑based backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies, ensuring high quality, security, and performance in a cloud‑native environment.
Expectations: Deliver robust code that adheres to best practices, actively contribute to architecture evolution, collaborate across teams, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and deploy modular microservice components aligned with specifications.
* Write unit and integration tests; enforce code quality and reliability.
* Perform version upgrades, bug fixes, refactoring, and maintain clean codebases.
* Implement security best practices and authentication standards.
* Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and end‑to‑end integration testing with partner systems.
* Optimize CI pipelines, application performance, error handling, and resource usage.
* Update technical documentation and maintain shared library code.
* Estimate effort and assist in sprint planning and backlog grooming.
* Monitor backend performance, perform root‑cause analysis, and share knowledge.
Required Skills:
* Full software development lifecycle experience.
* Advanced proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, REST, Kafka (or RabbitMQ).
* Deep understanding of microservice architectures, modularity, and design constraints.
* Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) and Kubernetes orchestration.
* Linux server administration.
* Git, Jira, Confluence workflow fluency.
* Clean, well‑documented code (OpenAPI/AsyncAPI).
* SQL, Redis/Valkey, and time‑series database knowledge.
* Cybersecurity awareness and authentication standards.
* Fluent in French and English; strong written and oral communication.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Master’s level engineering degree (Bac+5).
* Minimum 5 years of professional development experience.
