**Job Title:** Cloud Platform Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead ownership, strategy, and operational excellence of the enterprise Azure cloud environment (including Azure local and on‑prem integrations). Drive scalability, security, cost optimization, and alignment with digital transformation, AI enablement, and mobile‑first initiatives across a global firm.
**Expectations:**
- Full accountability for cloud platform stability, performance, and compliance.
- Flexible availability for critical incidents and major issue resolution, including out‑of‑hours support.
- Leadership of platform engineering teams and third‑party partners with a focus on high performance and ethical conduct.
- Effective stakeholder collaboration and clear communication with senior technology leadership.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own Azure cloud governance, architecture, cost management, and operations.
- Define and execute roadmap for infrastructure upgrades, service simplification, and cloud‑on‑prem integration.
- Manage day‑to‑day BAU: monitoring, patching, vulnerability management, change, incident, and problem management.
- Ensure disaster recovery readiness and regular testing.
- Oversee third‑party service providers, enforcing SLAs and security standards.
- Lead platform engineering team; coordinate configuration, automation, deployment, and project delivery (e.g., upgrades, AI tools, Microsoft Copilot).
- Collaborate with Data & AI teams to support scalable, secure data pipelines and AI readiness.
- Control platform budget, forecast consumption, and optimize license utilization.
- Define and enforce workload governance, regulatory compliance, and data governance policies.
- Engage business units and product teams to gather requirements and champion change management.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (incl. Azure Stack, governance, networking, security).
- Strong knowledge of cloud cost optimization, licensing, and budgeting.
- Proven experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and configuration management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Terraform, PowerShell).
- Incident, problem, and change management in ITIL or similar frameworks.
- Leadership and people‑management skills; ability to guide engineers and manage vendors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platform requirements and emerging tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
- Understanding of compliance, data governance, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification preferred.
- Additional certifications in security (CISSP, Azure Security Engineer) or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) considered a plus.
