Job Description
**Job title:** Corporate Accountant **Role Summary:** Provide corporate-level accounting support to the Corporate Finance team by processing monthly and quarterly adjustments, consolidations, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements to ensure accurate, compliant reporting. **Expectations:** Deliver timely, accurate financial information, uphold IFRS/GAAP standards, support audit processes, and maintain high data integrity while collaborating across departments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute corporate adjustments, eliminations, consolidations, fee generation, overhead capitalizations, GST/HST calculations, and bank reconciliations. - Review daily transactions, month‑end schedules, and reconciliations for accuracy. - Record journal entries and maintain the General Ledger. - Prepare financial statements for legal entities plus internal and external reporting. - Resolve accounting discrepancies and answer transaction queries. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors. - Liaise with other departments on accounting matters. - Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles. - Conduct ad‑hoc analysis and support projects as assigned. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in IFRS and GAAP. - Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative skills. - Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Initiative and proactive mindset. - Experience with Yardi (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - College Diploma or Certificate in Accounting or Finance. - CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA. - Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
