**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment environments to enhance software delivery velocity, infrastructure resilience, and security. Collaborate with development, architecture, and quality engineering teams to embed DevOps practices across the product lifecycle and respond to production incidents and high‑priority emergencies.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in scripting (Python >= 3, Bash).
- Hands‑on expertise with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
- Demonstrated use of CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
- Experience integrating security scanning (Veracode, SonarQube) and observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X‑Ray, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Active on-call participation and incident‑response capability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Write and maintain automation scripts (≈ 50 % of time).
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for code releases, ensuring operational and security compliance.
- Partner with developers to improve the developer experience and streamline pipeline standards.
- Design and implement innovations that increase software velocity, resilience, and data availability.
- Coordinate with Software & Engineering teams to align pipelines with code builds.
- Work with Architecture to define technology stack evolution.
- Respond to system incidents, participate in high‑priority on‑call rotations, and conduct emergency actions outside normal hours.
- Collaborate with business and application teams to understand needs and adjust roadmaps.
- Ensure automated testing is executed during deployments in partnership with QE.
**Required Skills**
- **Programming/Scripting:** Python, Bash.
- **Infrastructure as Code:** Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
- **CI/CD Tools:** Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- **Version Control:** Git (enterprise repositories, branching, forking), SVN.
- **Collaboration & Tracking:** JIRA, Rally, Greenhopper, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- **Configuration Management:** Puppet, Chef.
- **VM/Container Tools:** Vagrant, Selenium (for automated UI testing).
- **Cloud & Monitoring:** AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X‑Ray, Grafana, Prometheus.
- **Security & Code Quality:** Veracode, SonarQube.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
- No mandatory certifications listed; relevant DevOps or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate) are a plus.
