About the Company

Mission Statement: The Thaddeus Resource Center is a charity organization that has been aiding the local community since 1975. Our mission is to inspire HOPE and growth in youth and women in need. At The Thaddeus Foundation we have two main goals: To stop the downward spiral of at-risk and foster youth. We want to reach struggling youths before they become pregnant, homeless, or get involved with drugs and alcohol. By providing them with valuable life and job development skills, they will be able to reverse their downward spiral and be productive members of society. To empower, guide, and support women and their families. We want to give teen mothers, single mothers, mothers of children with special needs, and mothers that are just in need the knowledge, confidence, and the opportunity, to provide a better life for the next generation.

Job Description
Job title: Virtual Marketing Intern Role Summary: Unpaid virtual internship (15 hrs/week) focused on social media and digital marketing for a nonprofit empowering girls and women. Intern learns to create and manage content, campaigns, analytics, and community outreach to promote organizational mission. Expactations: - Minimum 6‑month program; 1‑year option available. - 15 hours weekly, with 10 hours required between 9 AM–6 PM PST for mandatory virtual meetings. - Participation in weekly All‑Staff (Tues 9–10 AM PST) and Department (Thurs 1–2 PM PST) meetings. - Eligibility for academic credit if approved by educational institution. - Work remotely via Microsoft Teams; requires reliable internet connection. Key Responsibilities: - Produce, schedule, and publish high‑quality content on Instagram, Facebook, website, and other platforms. - Develop and implement a content calendar and social media measurement plan. - Manage paid social advertising campaigns, report performance to leadership. - Conduct community outreach and networking to educate the target audience. - Analyze marketing data to refine engagement strategies. - Collaborate with staff on promotional activities and brand development. - Create surveys and market research tools to guide content strategy. - Assist daily team operations and mentor new interns through Buddy system. Required Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication. - Digital marketing strategy, including social media (Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, etc.). - Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic research methods. - Ability to analyze marketing analytics and optimize campaigns. - Self‑directed, organized, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. - Comfortable working remotely and using Microsoft Teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. - No specific certifications required. Preferred (but not mandatory): Bilingual (English/Spanish), experience in nonprofit digital marketing, familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, basic HTML, graphic design, photo/video editing, and website development.
