Job Description
**Job Title:** Regional Sales Manager – Retail **Role Summary:** Drive sales growth for poultry products within an assigned retail region by managing existing accounts, expanding the product portfolio, acquiring new customers, and coordinating cross‑functional support (demand planning, R&D, finance, marketing, procurement). **Expectations:** - Achieve regional sales targets and expand market share. - Maintain strong relationships with customers and brokers. - Negotiate pricing and volume contracts. - Provide accurate, timely feedback to senior management. - Travel as required to customer sites and industry events. **Key Responsibilities:** - Communicate regularly with retail customers and brokers (phone, email, in‑person). - Use sales tools to challenge brokers and stimulate growth. - Conduct direct sales calls to medium‑to‑large accounts outside broker channels. - Manage a personal target account list; negotiate pricing, contracts, and ad schedules. - Monitor order scheduling, resolve delivery, inventory, and receivable issues. - Document pricing agreements and marketing programs; ensure proper accounting accruals. - Report progress, challenges, and business needs to upper management. - Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Retail Sales or senior leadership. **Required Skills:** - Proven retail sales experience in a fully integrated poultry operation. - Strong broker network management. - Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed sales goals and grow territory revenue. - Expert negotiation skills for pricing and volume agreements. - Deep knowledge of poultry market drivers. - Excellent verbal and written communication; cross‑functional collaboration. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word). - Willingness and ability to travel frequently. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four‑year college or university. - No specific certifications required; relevant industry experience substitutes.
