Job Title: IT Security Officer Role Summary: Technical lead supporting the CISO in achieving NIS2, ISO 27001 and other security objectives. Own day‑to‑day security operations, manage the external SOC partner, embed security controls in projects, and act as the bridge between IT and OT environments. Expectations: - Fluency in English; Dutch/French highly desirable for business communication. - Demonstrated vendor‑management experience with SLA enforcement. - Ability to translate regulatory requirements into enforceable technical controls. - Comfortable explaining complex risks to non‑technical stakeholders and balancing security with business agility. Key Responsibilities: 1. **NIS2 & Governance** – Lead technical implementation of NIS2 requirements, translate regulations into controls, maintain security policy framework. 2. **Security Operations & SOC Management** – Serve as SOC point‑of‑contact, review SOC reports, validate alerts, coordinate incident response, and drive control adoption organization‑wide. 3. **Architecture & Project Support** – Apply “Security by Design”, review low‑level designs, advise on cyber capabilities, and liaise with ICT departments to deploy tools without hindering performance. 4. **IT/OT Convergence** – Ensure IT security measures complement OT operations, maintain Purdue Model separation, secure remote access, and align with IEC 62443 standards. Required Skills: - 5+ years Information Security experience. - Deep knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, NIS2, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance stack, Cloud Security, Network Security, Endpoint Hardening. - Practical understanding of security architecture and “Security by Design”. - OT standards familiarity or utilities sector experience a plus. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor‑management skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent. - Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) strongly preferred.
