Job Description
**Job Title** Branch Floater – Temporary Contract (Full-Time) **Role Summary** Act as the first point of contact for customers and the frontline for compliance at multiple branch locations. Manage shipment processing, maintain branch cleanliness and order flow, and support team operations as needed. **Expectations** - Work Monday‑Friday 11 am‑7 pm (possible Sunday coverage). - Operate on a temporary contract (6–12 months) with potential for permanent hire. - May be required to work at any affiliated location in Calgary. - Adhere to all safety, risk‑management, and compliance protocols. **Key Responsibilities** - Greet and assist customers, promoting the company’s brand and values. - Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and face‑to‑face. - Process shipments: scan, sort, load, and prepare BOLs accurately. - Conduct compliance reviews for Canadian, U.S., and international shipments. - Educate clients on packaging, weight, dimensions, and restrictions. - Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage returns. - Keep branch clean, organized, and safe; perform routine cleaning and maintenance. - Support drivers with loading/unloading freight. - Fulfill picking, packing, shipping, and charging tasks as required. - Open and close branches, ensuring full compliance with policies. - Assist teammates during staffing shortages. - Log escalations and provide summary reports to management. **Required Skills** - Minimum 2 years branch/store management experience (P&L preferred). - 1+ year office administration and opening/closing experience. - Proficiency with Moneris, Google Docs, Microsoft Office; strong computer skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication; ≥ 50 WPM typing speed. - Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items. - Multitasking, detail‑oriented, proactive, and team‑player. - Trustworthy, organized, reliable, and customer‑focused. **Required Education & Certifications** - High‑school diploma or equivalent. - Class 1 safety shoes (green triangle patch). - No additional certifications required.
